1st Shift About the Company Our client is a well-established and growing pharmaceutical manufacturer based in Charlotte, NC. The organization specializes in the development, registration, manufacturing, and packaging of high-quality, affordable prescription drug products. Operating from state-of-the-art cGMP-compliant facilities, the company is committed to delivering excellence, reliability, and regulatory compliance across all aspects of its operations. The Role We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Facility Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations at a solid dosage pharmaceutical manufacturing site. This role is responsible for ensuring that all facilities, utilities, and production equipment operate at peak performance while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities
    Building & Infrastructure:
    Oversee maintenance of roofing, flooring, plumbing, and structural systems
    • Manage critical utilities including HVAC, purified water systems, and compressed air systems
    • Support manufacturing operations by maintaining equipment such as tablet presses, fluid bed dryers, and packaging lines
    • Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring timely repairs and preventive maintenance (PM) completion
    • Manage work order systems and spare parts inventory
    • Ensure full compliance with FDA, OSHA, and EPA regulations
    • Coordinate with external vendors for specialized equipment calibration and servicing
    • Plan and execute capital projects and manage departmental budgets Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical, food, or similarly regulated industry preferred)
    • Strong knowledge of cGMP and FDA regulations
    • Experience with PLC troubleshooting and controls systems
    • Proven track record managing maintenance budgets and capital projects
    • Technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience is a plus
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities and deadlines
    • Flexibility to work additional hours as required Physical Requirements
    • Ability to climb ladders, operate man-lifts, and access rooftops or confined spaces
    • Frequent walking across production environments and standing for extended periods

    • Ability to work in tight mechanical spaces using specialized tools
    • Comfortable working in regulated environments requiring PPE, respirators, and gowning
