What you'll do As the Maintenance & Reliability Manager you are responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising daily activities of the maintenance department to ensure efficient operations in our High Point food processing facility. You are responsible for ensuring all tasks performed by your team are performed safely, efficiently and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the facility in the areas of safety, quality and reliability. How you'll do it Establish safety programs for maintenance team; live and breathe a consistent safety culture
Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities based on priority, equipment, and resources
Monitor team members' work levels and review work performance
Provides training and continuous development on all maintenance personnel
Manage outside contractors as it pertains to work done in and on the facility. Combined effort with the Director of Engineering
Coach team members on performance and provide development resources to improve job-skill deficiencies
Work in parallel with the Director of Engineering to successfully execute projects, equipment installs, and other project related work.
Perform skilled repair or maintenance operations, using required equipment
Interpret specifications, blueprints, or job orders to construct templates and lay out reference points for team members.
Examine machines, structures, or facilities and examine information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs.
Monitor tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions.
Troubleshoot problem areas and create a clear plan of action for repair of necessary parts
Participate in objective setting and planning for the department based on departmental KPIs
Develop, implement, or evaluate maintenance policies and procedures
Participate in budget preparation and administration, coordinating purchasing and documentation and monitoring departmental expenditures
Communicate frequently with other departments regarding equipment maintenance and prioritization
Follow all safety & food safety guidelines and procedures while working to continuously promote safety & food safety throughout the plant and department.
Drive improved reliability of all manufacturing and facility equipment through a preventative and predictive maintenance program.
Utilize RedZone (OEE monitoring & WO/PM System) to aid in the progression of equipment operator training & knowledge What you'll bring to KIND A hands-on leader with the ability to drive results through mentoring others
A people person with great interpersonal communication skills
Patient minded individual with strong coaching skills
Genuine in your desire to help make the world a kinder place, committing to always spreading and celebrating kindness You have... 5+ Years in a maintenance management or similar leadership role
Bachelor's or Associate degree in topic specific to operations, engineering or maintenance
Demonstrated experience leading change through data driven metrics and implementing maintenance programs and strategies
Hands-on experience in planning maintenance operations
Can effectively and efficiently handle both administrative and mechanical responsibilities
Effective & proven communication and people management skills Pluses A background in a food safety environment utilizing GMPs
PLC Troubleshooting and Programming, Electronics Expertise
Packaging equipment experience (i.e. combination scales, VFFS, Pouch machines, Labelers, Metal detectors, Check weighers)
TPM, Lean or Six Sigma Experience Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs.
