Job Description

Summary and Objective The DOM serves as the FAA-designated Accountable Manager for the Part 145 Repair Station and holds ultimate responsibility for ensuring all maintenance activities comply with applicable FAA regulations, the Repair Station Manual (RSM), and company policies. This role ensures sufficient personnel, facilities, tooling, training, data, and resources are available to perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations in accordance with regulatory standards. The Accountable Manager has the authority to enforce corrective actions and communicate directly with the FAA on all matters affecting safety and compliance. Essential functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Planning, coordinating, and directing the maintenance managers assigned to them in the performance of maintenance and alterations on the aircraft and components. Maintaining an open line of communication with the customer to ensure all relevant information is provided to the customer as it relates to the successful completion of the work scope on the aircraft or component. The planning, direction, and coordination of activities within the Maintenance Department and the planning of its activities in conjunction with other departments as required. Establish safety standards and ensure adequate safety precautions are observed and adhered to. Identifying, controlling, segregating, and maintaining all precision tools and test equipment to a serviceable or unserviceable category designated by the Chief Inspector. Ensure that all personnel under their supervision perform quality work. Performs any and all other tasks assigned by the MRO Management team. Performs all other duties outlined in the CFR 145 Repair Station Manual. Knowledgeable in all aspects of the Repair Station Quality Control Manual and Repair Station Training Manual. Knowledgeable in maintenance requirements pertaining to the FAR Part 145 and other applicable regulations necessary for the proper performance of duties. Sufficient training in software and programs necessary to ensure regulatory compliance. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize duties based on immediate need. Possess polished and professional interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented mindset. Responsible for the Mobile service units (AOG). Responsible for Line Service and all its functions.
Skills and Abilities:
Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft systems, components, tooling, and testing methods, with the ability to interpret technical manuals and perform inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting. Strong mechanical aptitude with attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Proven leadership capabilities, including strategic production oversight, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, financial awareness, and accountability. Effective communicator with strong critical thinking, presentation, and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate across departments and manage client relationships. Skilled in training, coaching, and developing personnel while reinforcing organizational values and performance standards. Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to manage multiple priorities with strong time-management and organizational skills. Regulatory Compliance:
Ensures that all repair station personnel adhere to FAA regulations, acting as the primary point of contact with the FAA. Responsible for verifying that the repair station has sufficient staff with the requisite training, knowledge, and experience to perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alterations in compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR).
Leadership Oversight:
Provides direct supervision over all 145 Repair Station Technicians, Crew Leads, Supervisors, and Managers. Work environment While performing the duties of this job, employees are frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, and loud noise levels both inside and outside the hangar. Possible exposure to a variety of extreme weather conditions. Exposure to loud noises including airplane machinery and jet engines. Required education and experience High School Diploma or equivalent Must be 18 years of age or older Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding
English Aircraft Mechanic Experience:
5-10 years as an aircraft mechanic, with at least 5 years of specific aircraft type experience, including factory training.
Cessna Aircraft Experience:
Minimum of 5 years working with Cessna aircraft.
Management Experience:
At least 5 years in a management role. Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States, must provide two forms of Federal Identification. Candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check prior to employment. This includes verification of previous employment, education, criminal history, and any other relevant information necessary to determine the suitability for the position. This position is classified as a Safety-Sensitive role under Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and is subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with FAA guidelines Preferred Education and Experience Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant License
