Founded in 2007, the company provides an end-to-end solution that leverages data to prevent waste, facilitates edible food recovery to provide to people in need, and transforms unsold food products into renewable energy to power communities. Through this integrated approach to reducing wasted food-Prevent, Provide, Power™-Divert works with customers across the U.S. to reduce wasted food and positively impact people and the environment. Divert's Integrated Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Plant receives unsold food from clients, analyzes the content, separates the packaging from the organics that can then be digested, ultimately processing the mixed liquor through our anaerobic digestion tank. The end result is RNG sold to the local natural gas pipeline and a reduction in waste going to a landfill.. This role will be responsible for ensuring the equipment and systems are running optimally, including but not limited to front end (bin washer, de-packaging/separating processes, wasted food processing) and back end (wastewater treatment, biogas purification, filtration) processes. What you'll do: As part of the Site Leadership team, Maintenance Managers at Divert are an integral part of the overall company growth and success through the maintenance program they lead, on-site, as well as cross-functional partnerships and teamwork. The Manager is uniquely positioned to oversee the day-to-day and strategic aspects of technical programs at the Lexington RNG plant.
Responsibilities Culture & Safety:
Maintain the Divert culture in the plant by executing processes that support empowerment and structured independence Ensure a safe work environment through culture, training, and reinforcement of demonstrated best practices Ensure established operating discipline is being maintained consistently Manage and execute plant technical training program including: Execute a comprehensive maintenance onboarding program for technicians, to include all aspects of safety (including lifesaving programs such as LOTO, Confined Space and Working from Heights), effective CMMS usage, proactive maintenance, predictive maintenance, PM completion and troubleshooting Develop, coach and mentor technicians to progress based on technical skill growthMaintenance & Reliability:
Develop procedures and plans to lead major maintenance jobs, e.g. centrifuge replacement, tank inspections, membrane service, etc. Manage maintenance and reliability processes, including: Manage PM program, spare parts inventory management, planning/scheduling, CMMS data entry/analysis, budget development, lubrication program, conditional-based maintenance program Lead root cause analysis of equipment failures and drive solutions to eliminate recurrence of failures Generate and share weekly and monthly asset utilization performance, utilizing Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to drive resource allocation Lead equipment and process assessments (asset criticality/FMEA) Drive daily maintenance operations (work planning/scheduling/assignment/completion review)Contractor Management:
Manage contractor work for plant repairs, maintenance and improvements Write PO's and hold vendors accountable to standards created in SOWs for 3rd-party and contractor work What we're looking for: Bachelor's or Associate Degree in mechanical, maintenance, or other related industrial fields from an accredited program, or equivalent experience including maintenance management, planning and scheduling, preventative predictive and conditional-based maintenance. 5 to 8 years' maintenance/operations experience in industrial environments (manufacturing/energy/chemical wastewater treatment), including leadership and management. CMRP certification highly preferred or understanding/experience of these practices and procedures Experience maintaining and troubleshooting technical and complex operational systems (Distributed controls systems, PLC) Hands-on experience and knowledge working on large industrial equipment (i.e. motors, pumps, gearboxes, agitators, large rotating equipment, screw conveyors, chain and belt conveyors, screw presses, hammermills, etc.) Experience with pneumatic control valves and actuators Experience with pressurized liquid and gas systems, chemical handling/storage, plant level electrical distribution, instrumentation and controls systems Strong organizational/planning abilities, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Well-versed in the management of a CMMS with respect to equipment maintenance execution. Proficiency in coaching, training, and development of maintenance personnel. Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication Excellent computer competence (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel, Power Bi, CMMS software) Must be able to handle several priorities at one time.
