  • 7 am) New Bern, NC / Full-time Your responsibilities The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of highly skilled maintenance technicians to improve, sustain, and troubleshoot factory equipment, ensuring maximum equipment availability for production.
They also serve as the key communication link between management and the maintenance department, facilitating clear and streamlined pass-downs and escalation communication across the department and Value Stream.
  • Places the Safety of the members of their team at top of all priorities.
  • Conduct safety training and ensure compliance with all company policies, plant rules and regulations.
  • Actively involves his/her associates in 5S activities; performs 5S process confirmations and LPC's
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of maintenance personnel.
  • Perform inspection of maintenance work performed.
  • Interprets company policy to employees and enforces company policy and practices.
  • Maintain after hours and emergency on-call coverage and service.
  • Facilitate on the job employee training programs.
  • Responsible for time keeping and administrative issues concerning maintenance associates.
  • Continuously improve utilization of maintenance personnel in order to reduce maintenance costs.
  • Continuously improve on time required to attend to maintenance calls from production groups.
  • Prioritize maintenance activities to attain maximum availability and profitability of equipment.
  • Develop maintenance strategies, procedures and methods.
  • Plan and schedule major overhauls, refurbishments, etc., together with maintenance planner, LPO and reliability engineers
  • Identify future equipment repairs of significant value to be included in financial planning.
  • Support root cause analysis with LPO and reliability engineers
  • Facilitate effective use of the computerized maintenance management system
  • Assist in implementation of capital, quality, productivity and ratio projects in conjunction with LPO and reliability engineers.
  • Monitor compliance with all OSHA and environmental guidelines and regulations.
  • Ensure the maintenance service records of machinery is complete and accurate in SAP
  • Develops and adheres to established standards and procedures.
  • Make process improvements to streamline maintenance activities.
  • Support and supervise training of apprentices.
  • Initiate spare parts purchases
  • Coordinates maintenance activities with outside companies or vendors.
  • Occasionally analyze, discuss, and solve complex maintenance problems with sub-contractors and suppliers to avoid supply shortages and factory shutdowns Your profile

  • 7-10 Years (Manufacturing environment experience)

  • 7-10 Years (Training in electronics, machining, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, and blueprint reading)

  • Welding, Machining, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Basic Industrial Controls Knowledge, Supervision, Team Building, Etc. Should have demonstrated skills in all the above required knowledge.

Your Pay & Benefits The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact compensation offered may vary based on your specific skillset and work location. If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the payments range from 0% to 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document. Benefits offered include the following:

The plan provides a fully vested 100% employer match on the first 4% of compensation contributed and also includes an annual employer-funded profit sharing contribution dependent on company profitability.
  • Two weeks of paid vacation for all non-temporary status new hires below Director level positions. Vacation entitlement increases based on years of service with BSH.
  • Unlimited paid vacation for all Director and above level positions.
  • The greater of (a) 40 hours of paid sick leave or (b) state or local minimum requirements for paid leave (Non-Production Line).
  • 40 hours of paid personal leave (Production Line).
  • 12 days of paid holidays per year (max 8 hours paid per day).

  • BSH provides ongoing product training, uniforms, computer tablet, cell phone and a company vehicle for eligible positions.
