SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC SUPERVISOR
(TITLE 32), WS-5801-11, you will plan use of subordine workers, equipment, facilities, and merials on a week-to-week or month-to-month basis; establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences, and plans work assignments; coordine work with supporting or reled work functions; determine the number and types of workers needed to accomplish specific projects; determine skills, merials, and equipment required to do the work; participe in the initial planning of current and future work schedules, staffing needs, estimes, and recommendions as to scheduling projected work; assist the supervisor with quarterly funding distribution and decisions; review funding requirements, prioritizes request and alloces funding based on readiness, training, and mobilizion requirements; provide management with workload da, estimes, and recommendions; assign tasks to be performed based on readiness and explains work requirements, methods, and procedures; investige work reled problems such as excessive costs or low productivity and determines causes; recommend solutions to staffing problems, engineering requirements, and work operions directed by other supervisors; ensure work in progress and completed work meets established standards by implemention of a quality control and assurance program within the organizion; ensure equipment repairs do not exceed maintenance expenditure limits; manage maintenance backlog through coordinion with other maintenance activities; evacue and accept equipment, repairs, and services to and from other maintenance facilities; assure tools, special tools, test measurement and diagnostic equipment, personal protective equipment, repair parts, petroleum, oils and lubricants, and other meriel are available; plan and establish overall leave schedules; determine training needs of subordines and arranges for accomplishment; set performance standards, and make formal appraisals of subordine work performance; ensure regulions governing safety and housekeeping are observed with approprie protective clothing and equipment being utilized; perform non-supervisory work, such as, transporting equipment, performing maintenance tasks, etc.; develop, publish, and ensure employee compliance with standing opering procedures for the activity supervised; implement and comply with agency, ste, and federal regulory Occupional Safety and Health, and environmental requirements; ensure use of quality conformant products through compliance with established merials shelf life programs; ensure all aspects of Force Protection to include physical security, facility and vehicle key control, property accountability, access control and employee protection in accordance with established policies and regulions; implement procedures to account for all real property, installion property, MTO&E (Modified Tables of Organizion and Equipment) property, TDA (Tables of Distribution and Allowances) property, and installed equipment loced or assigned to the facility; ensure subordines are trained, qualified, and equipped with proper personnel protective equipment, environmental mediion equipment and merials; ensure the employees wear approprie safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions; prepare for and participe in various types of readiness evaluions, inspections, mobilizion and command support exercises; perform other duties as assigned. Experience or training which demonstres th the candide has the ability to organize assignments for subordines, estime merial and manpower needed for specific jobs; able to explain manuals and work procedures; and to prepare production records, work records and reports.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
: (must have 36 months) In addition to the journeyman level knowledge, experience which demonstres the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. Experience th provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstres the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communice knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situions.
