Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Shop Foreman to oversee daily shop operations, supervise fabrication personnel, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, hands-on fabrication experience, and the ability to manage workflow, production schedules, and team performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily activities of welders, fabricators, fitters, and shop personnel Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and production schedules Ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards Monitor shop productivity and maintain workflow efficiency Train, mentor, and evaluate fabrication staff Enforce workplace safety procedures and company policies Coordinate material usage, equipment maintenance, and inventory needs Inspect finished products for accuracy and workmanship Communicate with project managers, engineers, and customers as needed Troubleshoot fabrication or production issues quickly and effectively Qualifications 3-5 years of fabrication or welding experience preferred Previous supervisory or foreman experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes, welding techniques, and shop equipment Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings Experience with MIG, TIG, and stick welding preferred Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Forklift and overhead crane experience a plus OSHA/safety knowledge preferred Valid driver's license required Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in a fabrication shop environment Ability to lift up to [50-75] lbs regularly Comfortable working around welding, grinding, and heavy equipment
