Job Description:
Looking for a Senior Director of Site Engineering & Maintenance to oversee engineering, maintenance, and technical functions at the site, ensuring operations remain safe, compliant, and dependable. Partnering closely with operations, quality, and supply chain, you'll help execute capital initiatives and drive ongoing process improvements. We're looking for a hands-on leader who develops teams, tackles complex challenges, and delivers practical, results-oriented outcomes. Responsibilities Include:
Direct engineering and maintenance activities to maintain safe, compliant, and dependable plant operations. Lead capital projects end-to-end, from initial scoping through startup, ensuring delivery on time and within budget. Manage maintenance programs, including preventive and corrective work, inventory of spare parts, and overall equipment reliability. Ensure all engineering practices align with regulatory standards, quality expectations, EHS guidelines, and global engineering requirements. Champion initiatives focused on energy efficiency, sustainability, and continuous improvement to lower costs and mitigate risk. Develop and mentor the engineering function, including internal staff and contractors, while supporting broader site objectives across functions.
Ideal Skillset:
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil, or similar. 10+ years of experience in engineering or maintenance within a regulated manufacturing setting. Preferred biologics experience. Proven leadership experience, including at least 2 years managing engineering or technical teams. Track record of successfully executing capital projects, with responsibility for budgeting and project oversight. Strong background in maintenance methodologies, equipment reliability, and asset lifecycle management. Experience operating in regulated manufacturing environments, with hands-on involvement supporting FDA and EMA inspections.
