$80,000 - $100,000 per year shift: First work hours: 4 AM - 2 PM education: No Degree Required Responsibilities Position Summary We are seeking a leadership-oriented Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance department within our meat packing facility. The Supervisor will be responsible for managing a team of mechanics, coordinating preventive maintenance schedules, and ensuring that all equipment—from grinders to vacuum packaging systems—operates at peak efficiency. This role is critical in maintaining a safe, USDA-compliant environment while minimizing downtime through strategic planning and team development. Key Responsibilities Supervise, mentor, and schedule a team of Maintenance Mechanics while providing technical guidance and managing performance in accordance with company and union standards. Develop and oversee the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program to ensure maximum uptime for meat processing and packaging equipment. Direct emergency repairs and troubleshooting for mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems during production hours. Ensure all departmental activities strictly adhere to OSHA, USDA, and GMP regulations, including the management of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) programs. Maintain comprehensive records of repairs, parts inventory, and labor hours while managing the maintenance budget and procurement. Partner with Production, Quality Assurance, and Sanitation departments to coordinate equipment changeovers and facility improvements. Lead the installation, commissioning, and optimization of new machinery and facility infrastructure.
