00 / hour We are hiring a Maintenance Supervisor for our meat packing plant in Lodi, NJ. This is a first-shift leadership position overseeing our maintenance team and machinery.
What you will do:
Lead and schedule a team of maintenance mechanics on the floor. Coordinate with production and sanitation teams during shift changes. Oversee repairs and preventive maintenance on meat processing machinery (grinders, blenders, conveyors, vacuum packaging). Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical problems. Make sure the team follows OSHA, USDA, and Lockout/Tagout safety rules. Keep track of work orders and spare parts inventory.
What we need:
4+ years of industrial maintenance experience (food or meat processing experience is preferred). Experience working as a supervisor, team lead, or senior mechanic. Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting. Ability to read blueprints and equipment manuals. Ability to work in a cold, wet plant environment and lift up to 50 lbs. (English/Spanish) skills are helpful.

No Degree RequiredResponsibilities Lead, mentor, and assign daily tasks to a team of 3 maintenance technicians and mechanics during the 1st shift (4:00 AM
  • 2:00 PM).
Coordinate seamless shift handovers and equipment changeovers by collaborating closely with Production, Operations, and Sanitation teams. Oversee and execute preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance on specialized meat processing and packaging machinery (grinders, blenders, formers, conveyors, vacuum systems). Serve as the primary technical escalation point for troubleshooting complex mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical failures. Strictly enforce plant safety and compliance standards, including OSHA, USDA, GMP, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) regulations. Manage the facility CMMS to track work orders, log equipment histories, manage spare parts inventory, and maintain union/company documentation compliance. Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of new facility equipment and production lines. Monitor shift performance, manage technician scheduling, and optimize equipment uptime to meet plant KPIs.
