About the Role We're seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead our plant maintenance team while actively performing repairs and troubleshooting equipment. This working supervisor role is ideal for an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys leading a team and getting their hands dirty on the production floor. Key Responsibilities Hands-On Maintenance & Operations Perform and oversee repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and packaging line equipment Troubleshoot PLC-controlled packaging lines and monitor line efficiency Complete preventive maintenance (PM) tasks and audit PM programs Crawl, stoop, kneel, and work near moving mechanical parts and electrical components Team Leadership & Supervision Prepare weekly work schedules for maintenance technicians and vendors Delegate tasks, coach/mentor team members, and conduct performance reviews Recruit, train, and supervise maintenance mechanics and facility attendants Safety & Compliance Participate in the safety committee and address safety concerns promptly Ensure OSHA compliance and execute Job Hazard Analysis Maintain SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards and regulatory compliance Facility & Equipment Management Maintain refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems Manage maintenance inventory, equipment, and vendor contracts Recommend upgrades, overhauls, or new equipment purchases Contribute to maintenance budget planning and cost-effective repair decisions
Required Qualifications Experience:
5+ years in maintenance (manufacturing/CPG/food processing), with 3+ years supervising teams
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and packaging systems
Hands-On Ability:
Must actively perform repairs and work on the production floor
Education:
High school diploma; technical certification or associate degree in maintenance/mechanical/electrical preferred
Certifications:
Relevant field certifications (e.g., electrical, HVAC, PLC) encouraged
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 25-50 lbs, crawl, kneel, and work in temperature variations Open to any shift
