This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of all machinery, production equipment, and facility infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, a deep understanding of industrial machine shop principles, and a proven track record in managing teams, budgets and complex shop and fabrication programs. Experience in proposal development and estimating a plus. This position is crucial for ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental standards. Key Duties include but are not limited to: Background as industrial maintenance supervisor /manager Manual Machine processes Industrial machinery repairs Fabrication/Welding Proposal Development Short Term and long-Term workflow and talent planning. Customer and supplier interactions Budget Development and oversight Committed to Safety and Safe behaviors The Maintenance Manager/Shop Supervisor works closely with the Machine Shop Manager and VP of Operations to ensure that responsibilities are met. High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and three years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Good communication skills (verbal & written) Must be proficient in Microsoft platforms Previous experience in a similar leadership role within an industrial or manufacturing setting. Demonstrated success in implementing and managing preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Experience in managing maintenance budgets and controlling costs. Hands-on experience with a wide range of industrial equipment and systems. Physical ability to access jobs, tolerate site environments, and work extended hours as needed. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work in an area where safety glasses, hard hat and other PPE are required and work with oil and lubricants used for cutting. Able to maintain confidentiality is a must as the employee will be dealing with personnel information and records.
