Make Ready Supervisor

Large Real Estate Development and Property Management organization based in New Jersey is looking for a full-time Make Ready Supervisor for a residential apartment complex in Wharton, NJ. The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides general oversight of turnover process, upkeep and repair of grounds and buildings and extraordinary projects. Conduct pre-move out inspections of occupied apartments after receiving notice from tenants. Inspect newly vacant units after tenants have moved out. Supervise preparation of vacant apartments for new tenants, including general repairs, plumbing, electric, painting, carpet replacement. Schedule vendors to perform work as needed. Maintain schedule of work to be done in all vacant units. Keep Maintenance Manager and Leasing Manager updated at all times as to status of turnovers and vacant apartments. Initiate and supervise maintenance projects, e.g. upkeep and painting of common areas. Execute any and all other assignments that may be issued from time to time by their supervisor. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training make-ready team members. Appraise performance, provide continual feedback & guidance to staff, and ensure proper training.

SKILLS REQUIRED

3-5 years of handyman and/or hands on construction experience Several years of supervisory experience Excellent communication skills Highly organized Ability to work independently Proficiency in Microsoft Office Experience with property management software preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, squat, open doors, climb/ descend stairs. Walk jobsite daily Climb up to 6' ladder as needed.

ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY

Is reliable and consistently at work and on time. Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Accomplishes projects and tasks within established deadlines.
