Assistant Facility Manager & Maintenance Specialist (Hybrid Role) Stephanie Mini Self Storage Henderson, NV Job Details Full-time $15 - $20 an hour 17 hours ago Qualifications Sweeping Customer communication Outdoor work Inventory management Power tools Property management Full Job Description We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated "jack-of-all-trades" to join our team at our self-storage facility in Whitney, NV. This is a unique hybrid role designed for someone who enjoys a mix of independent, hands-on physical work and professional customer service. One half of your day might be spent keeping the property looking sharp and fixing a latch, while the other half will be spent in the office helping our tenants and keeping things organized. If you enjoy a job where no two days are exactly the same and you aren't stuck behind a desk all day, this is the perfect fit. Key Responsibilities Property Maintenance & Handyman Work (Approx. 50%)
Routine Fixes:
Perform minor repairs around the facility, including fixing unit door latches, replacing springs, minor drywall patch/paint, and changing light fixtures.
Property Upkeep:
Keep the driveways, hallways, and common areas clean, clear of debris, and looking professional.
Unit Turns:
Clean out and sweep units after tenants vacate so they are immediately ready for the next rental.
Lock Cuts & Audits:
Perform weekly lock audits to ensure facility security and assist with cutting locks on delinquent units when necessary. Office Administration & Tenant Relations (Approx. 50%)
Customer Service:
Greet customers, answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and assist tenants with accessing their units.
Leasing & Move-Ins:
Walk prospective tenants through our available units, explain leasing agreements, and process new rentals.
Account Management:
Process monthly rent payments, assist with updating tenant accounts, and handle soft collections (courtesy reminder calls for late payments).
Administrative Support:
Help organize paperwork, manage facility inventory (locks, boxes, tape), and keep the front office clean and welcoming. Qualifications The "Handyman"
Skillset:
Demonstrated experience with basic power tools and general building maintenance (minor plumbing, electrical, or door hardware experience is a huge plus). The "Office"
Skillset:
Comfortable using computers, learning industry-specific software, answering phones professionally, and handling retail transactions.
Customer-First Attitude:
Friendly, patient, and clear communicator who enjoys helping people solve problems.
Reliability & Autonomy:
High level of integrity; someone who can see what needs to be done and take care of it without constant supervision.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, walk/stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in varying Nevada weather conditions. Must have a valid Nevada identification.
