This role supports daily operations through preventive maintenance, repairs, vendor coordination, and oversight of building systems to maintain a professional, compliant and member ready environment.
General and Compliance:
Able to be a self-starter and can work with minimal direction. Maintains confidentiality of member information by adhering to CREATE CU's policies and procedures for data security and privacy. Follow guidelines and policies such as Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act and Office of Foreign Assets Control, to limit risk and exposure for the organization and its members. Types of risk include fraudulent transactions, account fraud or mishandling, compliance with policies, security guidelines, and the organization's reputation. Attend required compliance training as assigned
Lighting:
Maintain interior and exterior lighting, ensuring proper illumination and energy efficiency Replace bulbs, ballast, and fixtures as needed Coordinate with licensed electricians for complex lighting needs
Carpentry, Assembly and Repairs:
Assemble office furniture, fixtures, and equipment Perform minor carpentry tasks, including drywall repair, patching, and painting Maintain walls, ceilings, and finishes to ensure a professional appearance
Painting and Drywall:
Conducts painting projects as needed, including touch ups and full surface applications Repair drywall damage, including patching holes and refinishing surface applications. Installation of marketing artwork and other signage as needed
Cleaning and Facility Upkeep:
Perform general cleaning duties as required or oversee janitorial services Ensure all areas meet cleanliness and presentation standards.
Generator Maintenance:
Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of backup generators Coordinate testing and servicing to ensure emergency readiness
Vendor Management:
Coordinate and supervise external contractors and service providers. Ensure vendor work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards.
Security and Safety:
Conduct routine safety inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies Respond promptly to security or safety incidents and coordinate with appropriate personnel.
General and Preventative Maintenance:
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment Address maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
Landscaping and External Maintenance:
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on exterior of buildings, sidewalks, and parking lots Oversee and coordinate with landscapers to keep landscaping clean and kept. Trim trees as necessary
Electrical Systems:
Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical issues, including outlets, circuits, and fixtures Maintain and replace lighting systems, including interior and exterior fixtures Coordinate with licensed electricians for complex electrical work
Plumbing:
Perform basic plumbing repairs such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures Monitor water systems to ensure proper operation and prevent damage Coordinate with licensed plumbers for complex plumbing work
HVAC Systems:
Perform routine maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems Replace filters, inspect components, and ensure optimal performance Coordinate with HVAC vendors for repairs and system upgrades
Contract Review and Negotiation:
Assist in reviewing service contracts for maintenance, repairs, and facility services. Support negotiation of vendor agreements to ensure cost effectiveness and service quality.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Presents a professional image and interacts well with the public and all levels of credit union personnel. Technology Proficient Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Comfortable working with vendors face-to-face, by phone and/or teleconference. Performs duties as assigned by Management Drives a motor vehicle as required Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma, 5-10 years of experience in the field of maintaining facilities. Technical or Trade Certifications preferred Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond to urgent issues Familiarity with safety and compliance standards (OSHA, Local Codes, etc.) Effective communication skills Computer skills - Word, Excel, Outlook
LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license. Clean Driving record
