In this vital role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and drive the success of our service team. Duties Lead and supervise the service department team, including technicians and service writers, to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality vehicle repairs. Oversee daily operations such as scheduling appointments, managing workflow, and ensuring timely completion of services like oil changes, brake repairs, alignments, transmissions, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns promptly, explaining repair options clearly, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Drive sales through effective upselling of additional services such as auto diagnostics, auto estimating, vehicle maintenance packages, and repair recommendations. Manage cash handling procedures accurately and maintain detailed service writing records for all transactions. Monitor inventory levels for parts and supplies needed for various automotive repairs to ensure smooth operations. Stay current with industry trends and technical advancements in automotive diagnostics, transmissions, auto estimating software, and repair techniques to maintain top-tier service standards. Requirements Proven experience in dealership or automotive service management with a strong background in auto repair shop operations. Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, vehicle maintenance procedures, and repair techniques including brake systems, alignments, suspensions, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repairs. Hands-on mechanic experience or familiarity with automotive repair processes is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team of technicians and service staff. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building long-term client relationships. Proficiency in auto estimating software and service writing tools to accurately document repairs and communicate costs. Ability to handle cash transactions responsibly while maintaining detailed records. Valid knowledge of automotive sales processes to support vehicle sales initiatives when applicable.
