Lockport, New York, United States Talascend is currently seeking a Supply Chain and Manufacturing Leader for a contract opportunity with our client in Lockport, New York. Overview As a global supply chain group leader, you will be responsible for the effective use of personnel, material, and equipment. You will participate in training, developing, and evaluating hourly team members, and lead process activities supporting launch and pilot operations in assigned areas. You will also focus on meeting production cost schedules, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a safe working environment. Responsibilities Manage personnel, material, and equipment usage effectively.
Participate in training, developing, and evaluating hourly team members.
Lead global manufacturing systems processes and support launch and pilot activities.
Meet or exceed production cost schedules and quality requirements.
Maintain awareness of quality standards and communicate department goals.
Build and maintain good working relationships with employees, union, and management.
Understand and administer agreements between the organization and the union.
Implement systems to prevent recurrence of known issues.
Promote safe work practices, ergonomics, health, safety, and housekeeping.
Motivate, train, develop, and coach team members and leaders.
Achieve production schedules using lean manufacturing principles. Qualifications Relevant experience in supply chain or manufacturing leadership roles.
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and synchronous principles.
Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
Knowledge of union agreements and labor relations is preferred. We thank all applicants for their interest.
