Job Description Job Description Supervise Maintenance, repair and modifications of equipment. Record incoming work, assign priorities according to production requirements and manpower availability. Ensures that parts and tools are on hand, maintain log of work completed, overtime records, review time sheets for accuracy. Supervise and train repairers and utility persons assigned to Maintenance. Enforce safety and productivity standards. Keep morale high and maintain a cooperative interactive relationship with subordinates. This is a 3rd Shift Role Essential Functions Responsible and accountable for communicating company goals/objectives/priorities to all personnel (salary and hourly) as required. Responsible and accountable for training and development of personnel. Responsible and accountable for communicating and enforcing company rules and regulations. Responsible for continuing involvement in safety effort, safety contacts and prompt accident investigations. Responsible for interdepartmental cooperation. Assign work to Maintenance people. Troubleshoot to determine cause of problem and required repairs. Enforce company safety and productivity rules and programs. Review jobs to determine labor, equipment and materials required. Order parts, materials and tools. Determine priorities based on manufacturing requirements. Train personnel. Review time sheet for accuracy. Keep up morale and cooperation in the department. Promote good housekeeping and a safe environment. Additional Responsibilities o Oral communication skills sufficient to instruct, direct and resolve conflicts with and between employees o Written skills for internal correspondence, writing or revising procedures. o Reading comprehension sufficient to read, interpret and properly apply specifications and procedures to achieve desired outcomes o Persuasion, negotiation and motivational skills as needed to maintain high productivity and achieve 'win-win' solutions o Collaboration skills to create cooperative, responsive workforce o Composure under pressure enabling ability to manage effectively under pressure, through change and interruption. o Problem solving- anticipates, surfaces consequential issues and acts with appropriate sense of urgency, sense of time and through organized planning to resolve.
