Security/Facilities Position Full-time (35 hours/week)

Summer Session:
Monday
- Thursday, 3:15
- 9:15pm, Friday, 11:00am-5pm to reflect summer building hours.
In-Between Session:
Adjusted based on 9:00am-5pm building schedule. Occasional weekends based on the event schedule; days/times of work are based on the schools program and operational needs and are subject to adjustment.
Compensation:
Starting rate of $18/hour, depending on experience. A range of benefits, including health coverage, are available. Additionally, this position is eligible for the 20% staff discount on lessons and classes at Hochstein Duties to include but not limited to:
- Serve as security desk monitor for the school's entrances/exits
- Greet Hochstein faculty, staff, students/parents, visitors and renters; assist with directions, set up, take down, and equipment/supply needs
- Responsible for closing and securing the building at the conclusion of the day, making sure everyone has exited the building, locking doors and then engaging the alarm system
- Facilities duties as assigned or when needed (bathrooms, hallways, floors, classrooms/studios, etc. including re-supply as needed)
- Garbage and recycling bins to curb
- Setup and take down for meetings, performances and other events
- Snow removal (shoveling) of handicap ramp/side walk entry ways and grounds cleanup
Qualifications:
- Willingness to handle any security/facilities/custodial and other duties as requested
- Helpful attitude; trustworthy, responsible, reliable character
- Attention to detail in handling all duties
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, and sit for extended periods
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Outgoing and enthusiastic personality
- Multi-task with personnel and telephone
- Background check required

- Self-starter, problem solver, ability to see what needs to be done and take care of it
