District Certifications/Qualifications:

Four (4) years experience in building or grounds maintenance /

Valid Driver's License Qualifications:

A thorough knowledge and skill in the area of grounds maintenance and athletic field management experience. Four (4) years of full-time paid experience in building or grounds maintenance in which one year must have been in a supervisory capacity. Must have a valid driver's license

Preferred:

A current turf and ornamental pesticide license and heavy equipment experience

Work Activities and Responsibilities:

Supervises district groundskeepers and subs Leads and participates in various landscaping activities, including the coordination of the School District's flower and beautification program Leads and participates in the construction, maintenance and repair of School District grounds Plans and directs a current and long-range program for the operation and maintenance of School District athletic fields and community-use areas Inspects and participates in athletic field painting, maintenance and construction work on grounds performed by grounds staff, custodial and maintenance employees, or private contractors Inspects all district grounds property periodically to determine maintenance needs and sets up a maintenance program in harmony with athletic field program, and district initiatives, which include a watering program and irrigations systems Prepares estimates, specifications and plans for repairs and alterations to grounds areas and equipment Acts as a liaison between the Director and Assistant Director of Facilities and Operations and contractors to ensure the contract obligations are met Acts as a liaison between the Athletic and Facilities departments Maintains records such as inventories, cost analysis etc. and prepares periodic reports Operates a truck or machines in connection with the assigned work May have oversight of several work projects running simultaneously Orders and accounts for parts and supplies for Facilities and Operations special projects Oversees and participates in the construction, maintenance and repair of School District roadways and parking lots, including winter snow removal 1st Shift Monday - Friday / 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Salary per CSEA contract
