Job Description

Landscape Maintenance Team Lead Lead the Work. Elevate the Landscape. Own the Result We are looking for a skilled and dependable Team Lead who takes pride not just in getting the work done, but in how a landscape looks, feels, and grows over time. This role is for someone who understands that landscape maintenance is more than mowing and trimming; it is ongoing care of the living systems that directly impact the client's experience of their property. Our teams maintain residential and commercial landscapes throughout Western New York with a strong focus on professionalism, attention to detail, and craftsmanship.
You Will Be Responsible For:
Leading a crew on Property Maintenance Programs Ensuring all work meets company quality and horticultural standards Monitoring plant health and identifying issues early Performing and teaching proper pruning, shaping, and plant care techniques Improving the overall appearance and condition of each property over time Training and developing team members Managing workflow, efficiency, and being aware of quoted times for each job Performing hands-on work alongside your team
What We're Looking For:
Experience in landscape maintenance with strong plant care knowledge Understanding of pruning techniques, plant growth habits, and seasonal care A genuine interest in horticulture and landscape improvement Strong leadership and accountability Attention to detail and pride in finished work Ability to make decisions and solve problems in the field Experience with equipment, trucks/trailers, and tree work is strongly preferred You must have a valid driver's license. Craft, Plants, & Client Impact This role requires someone who sees beyond tasks and understands outcomes.
A well-maintained landscape:
Creates pride and enjoyment for the property owner Enhances how the space is experienced Reflects a high level of care and professionalism We are looking for someone who: Notices when a shrub needs shaping, not just trimming Understands when plant health is declining and makes an action plan Cares about how the property looks a week, a month, and a season later This is a role for someone who takes ownership of the landscape's long-term quality, not just the day's work. This is physical outdoor work and takes place in a variety of weather conditions. You are expected to lead your team through demanding days while maintaining high standards. Take full ownership of results, lead by example, and represent the company professionally. We are looking for people who enjoy working with their hands, staying productive, and seeing the results of their effort at the end of the day.
