Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to oversee the maintenance and operation of our facility. As the Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This is a leadership role that requires strong technical knowledge, project management skills, and the ability to effectively manage a team.Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance of all equipment and systems
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and address them proactively
- Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical systems
- Manage a team of technicians and provide guidance and support as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to operations
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors for equipment repairs and service contracts
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all staff
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and warranties
Experience:
- Proven experience in facilities management or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.
- Experience with project management principles and practices
- Proficiency in English (both written and verbal)
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think logically
- Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to manage a team effectively
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field (preferred)
- Professional certifications in relevant areas (e.g., HVAC certification)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management or a related field
- Knowledge of low voltage systems is a plus We offer competitive compensation packages based on experience.
