Maintenance Manager

We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead at a well-established manufacturing company in Central NY. Job Responsibilities:

Oversee daily maintenance activities, ensuring equipment and facility issues are resolved quickly to minimize production downtime Lead, train, and develop the maintenance team to drive strong performance and technical capability Manage preventative and predictive maintenance programs, including CMMS, work orders, and parts inventory Troubleshoot and support repairs on food processing and packaging equipment (electrical and mechanical) Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and EHS to support plant performance and food safety standards Ensure compliance with FDA, FSMA, GMP, HACCP, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements Track KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on uptime, efficiency, and reliability Manage maintenance budgets, capital projects, and cost-saving initiatives Manage and coordinate third-party contractor for both planned and emergency maintenance work

Required Skills/Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; equivalent technical/trade experience considered 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing (food & beverage preferred) Strong experience with production equipment, preventative maintenance, and team leadership Knowledge of plant utilities (boilers, ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, compressed air, electrical systems) Experience with PLCs, instrumentation, and CMMS systems Understanding of GMP, food safety, and OSHA requirements Strong leadership, troubleshooting, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally

Pay:

$105,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
