The Director of Engineering will oversee engineering strategy, capital projects, and system optimization for complex utility operations. This includes leading design and construction efforts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting operations with technical troubleshooting. - Provide technical oversight for steam, chilled water, hot water, HVAC, and CHP systems. Energy analysis
- Track KPIs, analyze consumption data, and drive system optimization. Capital project management
- Lead design, bid, construction, and commissioning for infrastructure projects. Regulatory compliance
- Ensure adherence to environmental and safety standards, including Title V Air Permitting. Technical documentation
- Interpret engineering drawings, prepare reports, and develop operational procedures. Operations support
- Partner with operations teams to troubleshoot issues, improve reliability, and develop preventative maintenance strategies. Team collaboration
- Coordinate multi-discipline engineering and construction teams to deliver successful outcomes.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical engineering, or related field.
Experience:
8-12+ years in engineering roles, with at least 3-5 years in leadership or project management.
