Job Description

Light, medium, and heavy vehicles, maritime platforms, aircraft, and personnel protection systems each present their own protection challenges and different threats and operational requirements mean that protection level needs vary. Job Objective The Maintenance Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining preventive maintenance programs, troubleshooting equipment and facility issues, managing budgets and expenditures, and implementing corrective actions to improve reliability and productivity. This position works closely with operational departments to identify maintenance needs, resolve problems, and support organizational goals, and implement capital improvement projects. Success in this role requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, sound technical knowledge, project oversite, and the confidence to communicate directly and challenge others when necessary. Experience:
Associate degree or training required or Bachelor's degree (Preferred) in related field. 10+ years of relevant experience. Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment or similar industry. Experience with Toyota Production System and Root Cause & Corrective Actions. Possess understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, hydraulic, and mechanical as well as other crafts. Experience with and understanding of visual management techniques and ability to implement. Key Accountabilities Oversee daily maintenance operations for facilities, equipment, and production systems Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs Supervise, train, and schedule maintenance technicians and contractors Troubleshoot equipment failures and coordinate timely repairs to minimize downtime Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, environmental, and company regulations Manage maintenance budgets, inventory, and purchasing of parts and supplies Coordinate with production and operations teams to support workflow and efficiency Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and equipment history documentation Monitor equipment performance and recommend upgrades or process improvements Lead emergency repair efforts and after-hours maintenance response when needed Ensure proper operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building systems Conduct facility inspections and identify maintenance or safety concerns Implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability and reduce costs Manage vendor relationships and oversee outside service providers Support capital projects, installations, and facility expansion activities Perform all maintenance duties within the department as assigned or as needed. KPI's (Monthly) Number of occurrences of unplanned machine downtime; Target = 0. (Monthly) Ratio of PM programs developed for critical equipment; Target = 100%. (Monthly) Number of PMs performed in the period; Target = TBD based on schedule to be developed by this role. (Monthly) Closure rate of maintenance requests that affect productivity; Target = <2 hours. (Monthly) Closure rate of maintenance requests that affect the facility, but not productivity; Target = <2 days. (Monthly) Critical machine uptime; Target = 98%+.

Pay:
$85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
