Automotive Service Manager

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in auto service management and a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair. This role requires excellent leadership abilities, a commitment to customer service, and a passion for the automotive industry. The Automotive Service Manager will oversee daily operations, manage service technicians, and ensure the highest quality of vehicle maintenance and repair services. Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the service department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery. Manage and mentor a team of service technicians, providing guidance on automotive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance. Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to assess mechanical issues and recommend necessary repairs. Maintain accurate records of services performed, including auto estimating and service writing documentation. Foster strong relationships with customers by providing exceptional customer service and addressing their concerns promptly. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies regarding vehicle maintenance and repair. Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall dealership performance and customer experience. Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in automotive repair. Requirements Proven experience in an automotive dealership environment is preferred. Strong background in auto service management with a focus on customer satisfaction. Proficient in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, vehicle maintenance, and repair processes. Experience with various automotive services including oil changes, brake repair, transmission work, alignment, suspension systems, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repair. Excellent communication skills with a strong emphasis on customer service. Ability to effectively lead a team while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with ordering parts. A valid driver's license is required.
