Job Summary Reporting to:
Superintendent, Maintenance Planning & Materials This person is responsible for: The Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing maintenance work orders to support routine and outage maintenance. The role ensures required materials, tools, equipment, and resources are defined and ready to enable safe and efficient execution in accordance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
What You'll Do:

Work safely in an industrial environment following policies and procedures
Plan and estimate work orders by analyzing job steps and sequence, identifying safety and quality requirements, verify equipment availability, required materials, tooling, and labor
Utilize CMMS (Oracle EAM) to complete job planning, maintain accurate work order status, update BOMs, track readiness and costs, and ensure accurate work order and asset data in accordance with company standards.
Validate maintenance work orders, confirming scope and requirements with Operations to ensure work orders are clearly defined
Verify job readiness including scope, labor estimates, and materials to support scheduling process with Operations and Maintenance personnel
Identify work orders requiring engineered solutions or Management of Change (MOC) and collaborate with Engineering to confirm scope and planning requirements
Work directly with equipment SMEs and stakeholders to clarify repair scope and technical requirements, ensuring applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements are incorporated into work plans
Collaborate with Procurement and Warehouse personnel to procure materials and services, monitor delivery status, and maintain accurate work order status to support schedule alignment
Review completed work and updated job plans based on feedback to support continuous improvement.
Supports routine maintenance and outage planning, and scheduling activities as required
Assist with budgeting and record keeping, as well as other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring:
Understanding of maintenance areas with 4-6 years maintenance experience
Planning experience and familiarity with Oracle EAM and Viziya work management systems considered an asset
Demonstrated working knowledge of EAM, SAP or other CMMS required
Familiarity with regulatory and relevant industry standards (e.g., API, ASME, IEEE, ISA)
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and processes as needed by the business
Flexibility to work on various activities and different types of tasks concurrently
Problem solving abilities, good decision-making skills, with ability to know when to escalate issues
Strong verbal and written communication skills
