Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Positive attitude and excellent verbal communication with a professional appearance Ability to function well as part of a team Ability to be self-motivated in day-to-day activities Ability to direct and prioritize the maintenance and repair of all fleet assets to required DOT standards Safely operate semis, straight trucks and the yard spotter around Distribution Center properties Assist in the delivery of equipment to outside vendors as needed Accurately track time, parts and labor for record keeping purposes Requirements Job Requirements  Fleet Maintenance Clear understanding of operation of trucks, trailers, reefer units and lift gates A background in general truck repair, including HVAC, electrical, diesel engines, clutches, etc. Prioritize and assign work to best meet needs of transportation team. Ensure quality, compliance, and safety of all fleet assets. Control repair, inventory, and labor costs. Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment. Coach, Mentor and care for team members to drive effectiveness and individual performance.  Service and Parts Coordination In collaboration with service and parts coordinator maintain the following:  timely and efficiently coordinate and schedule: Preventative Maintenance and Fleet services Repair work Review and maintain adequate inventories for all needed parts for service and repair work Maintain good vendor communication and establish processes to assess vendor performance and standards. Field calls and act as a point of contact for driver communications with equipment issues. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended length of time throughout their scheduled working period. The associate is required to use their hands on a routine and daily basis to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, and/or otherwise operate required tools or controls. The associate must be able to work safely at heights using applicable ladders and elevated working platforms. The associate must be able to safely work in all weather conditions. Given the frequent movement of large trucks through the workplace, the associate must be able to see and hear in order to safely navigate the work environment. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs. Please e-mail or mail completed application to:
