Aircraft Retail Maintenance Manager

Castle Aviation is an on-demand aviation transportation company that has served the northeast Ohio region for over 40 years. We are looking for a Retail Maintenance Manager to join our growing team!

JOB PURPOSE

To garner maintenance customers outside of the company and to maintain their airplanes through thorough, accurate inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and/or scheduled maintenance, while keeping in accordance with FAA rules, regulations, and procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure that retail customers' aircraft are maintained in an airworthy condition Accurately complete all inspections, repairs, and component changes and ensure these are completed in accordance with manufacturer or FAA-approved procedures Comply with all maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations Coordinate with maintenance contracting agencies when maintenance activities are being performed on customers' aircraft Generate leads on potential customers and work to earn their business Maintain all necessary work records and logbooks Comply with all company policies and manager directives regarding safety Track parts used, time spent, and any other billable expense accurately for billing to customer Review and bill out customer invoices in a timely manner; follow up with customer if the bill is not paid in a timely manner Estimate labor hours, parts expenses, and other costs in order to provide customers with accurate quotes on retail maintenance work Maintain professional, positive working relationships with customers

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE A&P

License Inspection Authorization

Must be able to pass a pre-employment DOT/FAA drug screen Must be able to pass 2 Year Drug and Alcohol history check

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIROMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions and tight spaces with awkward work postures. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. A&P Mechanics will also be required to lift objects of up to 50 pounds in weight.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

There is little travel required in this position. The Retail Manager may be called to complete off-site jobs, which, though rare, may require overnight stays away from home. The Retail Manager may also be asked to attend out-of-state conventions one time per year, which would require overnight stays away from home.
