Job Description Summary This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all equipment located within the production area of the facility and for performing maintenance functions throughout the plant as assigned or directed by supervisory personnel, while working under limited supervision. Job Description- Always maintains safe work practices and participates in safety programs. Assures that safe work practices are followed in all work groups. Abides by all company work, safety, and hygiene rules and regulations as outlined in the employee handbook.
- Performs routine and/or non-routine tasks established by the Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager, Team Leader Maintenance, Velocity Maintenance Lead, Team Leader Area Production, Team Leader Quality, Team Leader Production, and the Maintenance Lead.
- May be required to perform emergency repairs with minimal supervision.
- Keeps documentation up to date.
- Accurately tracks time spent working on tasks throughout the day.
- Familiar with proper start-up and shut down of production equipment.
- Performs equipment repair, overhaul, and troubleshooting of mechanical and technical equipment; changes and replaces belts, sprockets, bearings, chains, motors, etc.
- Evaluates equipment for performance, performs adjustments, replaces parts, etc. as needed to assure uninterrupted production of quality potato products.
- Performs structurally-sound welds and acceptable cutting, using appropriate cutting and welding equipment.
- May be required to work any shift, any and all days of the week, or overtime in the accordance with production and maintenance schedules.
- Reads and understands prints, sketches, diagrams, operating instructions, and technical manuals.
