Job Description

Job Description Alaska Airlines is seeking a Director of MRO Maintenance Planning to lead the maintenance planning team. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet while optimizing maintenance schedules and resources. The Director will be responsible for developing and implementing maintenance strategies, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the MRO maintenance planning team to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations. Develop and implement maintenance strategies that align with company goals. Manage maintenance budgets and ensure cost-effective operations. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and other departments to optimize maintenance schedules. Monitor and analyze maintenance performance metrics to drive continuous improvement. Provide leadership and mentorship to the maintenance planning team. Participate in safety and quality assurance programs. Develop training programs for maintenance planning staff. Represent the maintenance planning department in meetings and discussions with senior management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in aviation management, engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance planning or a related field. Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and maintenance practices. Proven leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions. Experience with maintenance management systems. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
