We are seeking for a Maintenance Supervisor for a Core Botanica Facility in Terrebone, OR, that will be responsible for directing and coordinating daily maintenance operations, supervising technicians, and ensuring equipment, facilities, and shop activities operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. This role provides oversight, prioritization, and decision-making for all maintenance activities, supporting technicians by removing barriers, aligning work with production needs, and maintaining accountability for execution, performance, and shop standards. This is an active and hand on position. This role is a hybrid. The Maintenance Supervisor will work a 30-50-20 participation. 30% office 50% shop-repair time, 20% observatory
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of maintenance technicians Work directly with the Production Supervisor to coordinate repairs, PMs, and maintenance related tasks Mentor, train, and develop a cohesive team that aligns with Core Botanica's culture Ensure all repairs and fabricated work meet safety, OSHA, LOTO, and reliability standards, maintaining structurally sound systems and safe operating conditions for all personnel Support and guide troubleshooting efforts, ensuring root cause solutions are identified and executed Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations Ensure technicians are aligned, prepared, and properly supported for job execution Estimate job scope, labor, and material requirements in coordination with the Maintenance Manager, ensuring work is properly planned and aligned with priorities Maintain and enforce organized inventory systems within the shop, setting expectations, holding technicians accountable to standards, and communicating issues to the Maintenance Manager when needed Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities across all equipment, rolling stock, and facility systems Plan, prioritize, and coordinate all maintenance work to minimize downtime and support the Production Supervisor. Assure that shop resources are organized and ready while maintaining responsibility for overall job readiness and supporting technicians during execution Monitor and assist in preventative maintenance tasks and ensure all required documentation is accurately completed for food safety and quality compliance Diagnose root causes, develop long-term solutions, and identify required parts and materials Install, align, and commission equipment, setup, startup, and system performance in coordination with the Maintenance Manager Placing orders as needed based on operational demands, urgency, and shop needs Identify production inefficiencies and implement improvements to increase throughput, reliability, and consistency, communicating needs to the Process Innovation and Maintenance Manager Monitor maintenance KPI's related to efficiency Develop basic concepts, sketches, or layouts to support equipment improvements and fabrication work Perform welding and fabrication including structural steel, sheet metal layout/forming, and custom modifications with minimal instruction. Interpret build and fabricate from sketches, concepts, incomplete plans, or verbal instruction Perform repair of production equipment, rolling stock, and facility systems Any task, not limited to this job description. Qualifications & Requirements Welding and fabrication experience (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW preferred) Ability to read drawings and fabricate from provided plans Ability to sketch, draw, or any form of Idea representation. High level of mechanical knowledge including, rolling stock, motors, and gear systems Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word Experience working as a lead or in supervisory position 5-7 years of related experience related to Job Description above. Safety & Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform physically demanding work throughout the day The ability to stand squat bend or sit for extended periods of time Ability to safely operate forklifts, manlifts, and shop equipment Must report to work and remain fit for duty during working hours, free from the effects of drugs, alcohol, or any condition that could impair the safe and effective performance of job responsibilities. Additional Requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to understand and communicate job-related information effectively in English Valid driver's license Willingness to work overtime, nights, weekends, and extended shift with little notice. Up to $70,000.00 per year
