Maintenance Associate The successful candidate supports the Plant Manager and takes charge of all maintenance activities. This position must be an advocate for workplace safety, data driven management and optimizing equipment uptime. The candidate must be a self-starter, possessing the ability to manage multiple priorities, develop others, build systems and roll up their sleeves to get the work done. This is a hands on, working position. The position is responsible for extending machine life, improving machine uptime and reducing repeat breakdowns by restoring equipment base condition and implementing proven maintenance processes. The Maintenance Associate develops and maintains preventive/predictive maintenance programs inclusive of failure and root cause analysis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive Maintenance Best Practices Assists and supports employees with machine trouble shooting and technical expertise Responsible for troubleshooting and providing immediate preventative and corrective maintenance support Champions and drives reduction of losses through breakdown analysis and other appropriate continuous improvement tools Ensures all equipment, building and grounds are maintained and operational up to company standards Provide oversight for maintenance budget development and execution Manage vendor support and equipment relationships Maintain accurate records of maintenance operations and present reports of daily activities Seeks methods to reduce utility consumption Oversees all parts acquisition activities. Maintains a compliant stockroom operation that provides repair parts for critical process equipment as well as necessary consumables for the plant Participates in and supports the Environment Health and Safety (EHS) Program. and all other Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) required regulations Other projects or duties as assigned Additional duties may be assigned
Salary Range:
$24.00 - $28.00 / hour
DOE CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution Conceptual knowledge of PLC programming 3-5 years' hands on experience as a millwright or industrial mechanic Electrical maintenance experience 3-5 years' experience managing ammonia maintenance 3-5 years' experience managing employees and their performance Strong capabilities in pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical and PLC systems Forklift Experience highly desired Knowledge of fiscal budgeting principles and practices Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems Computer skills (MS Office) Supervisory/Management skills with an emphasis on communication and interpersonal skills Ability to flex work hours to provide off hour support
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in engineering Formal training/certification in Continuous Improvement Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems Knowledge of Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Systems Operational background in electrical circuitry, refrigeration, and machine mechanics. PLC programming proficiency. Working knowledge of national, state, and local regulatory requirements. Working knowledge of basic elements of Good Manufacturing Practices in a manufacturing environment HACCP knowledge
