Job Description

JOB The Department of Corrections (DOC) is seeking a Corrections Facility Maintenance Manager 3 who is ready to take on a leadership role in managing major construction and maintenance efforts. In this position, you support planning, inspections, and coordination that keep facilities running safely and effectively. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position focuses on supporting construction, maintenance, and facility operations by providing technical guidance and project coordination. You help ensure that projects meet standards, stay on schedule, and support safe and functional institutions. As a Corrections Facility Maintenance Manager 3, you will perform the following duties:
Project Coordination:
Manage planning, design, and construction activities while overseeing contractors and schedules
Technical Oversight:
Review construction documents, inspect work, and advise staff on building, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues
Facility Support:
Assist maintenance managers with problem solving and provide guidance on repairs, standards, and policies
Energy Management:
Support Guaranteed Energy Savings Act projects and explore initiatives that improve energy efficiency
Training Guidance:
Help develop training programs for facility maintenance managers to strengthen technical skills
Inspection Duties:
Conduct inspections of utility plants and construction sites to confirm compliance with policies and project requirements Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Work Location:
1920 Technology Parkway in Mechanicsburg, PA. Consideration will be given to an alternative State Correctional Institution (SCI) location if requested and available. This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55 if designated to work inside an SCI. If selected candidate reports to DOC Central Office, this will not apply. Travel is required.
