Job Description

Job Summary This position will lead the facilities operations and report to the Manager, Facilities. The individual will be responsible for filling out paperwork, organizing tasks for the crew, training the crew, quality, and quantity of output, maintaining a 5S focus, and assisting with various facilities functions across campus. This individual may also be required to be the backup for the Manager, Facilities. This job will be performed Monday - Friday, approximately 7am - 3:30pm with periodical times working beyond this structure to meet project deadlines or stakeholder meetings (including possible weekend work). This position is eligible for overtime opportunities as approved by Facilities Manager. This job will require less than 10% travel to other sites outside of Carlisle, PA in a calendar year.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Train new team members Assist Facilities Manager with scheduling work tasks and prioritizing Coordinate with contractors and ensure adherence to CCM's safety guidelines Serve as the backup for the Facilities Manager as needed Perform and coordinate PM's as instructed Assist Maintenance in performing tasks as needed Operate company vehicle on and off campus as needed Part and equipment pickup from various vendors within a reasonable driving distance. Assisting team members with general office repairs (ie. office furniture, cubical partitions, hang signs, pictures, TV's, bulletin boards) Operate tractors and forklifts Expectation to understand, participate in, and support company COS initiatives, with focus on developing a lean mindset. Responsible for department inventory management control Other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge:
Understanding of basic mechanical & electrical principles as they apply to facilities maintenance Company and department policies and procedures Basic power distribution system Basic communication equipment Location of electrical rooms and boiler rooms Basic operation of fire protection equipment Basic operation of security systems Knowledge of SAP Microsoft Suite Knowledge of software for work order systems
Skills:
Technical skills commensurate with an experienced multi-craft technician Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills to convey information and feedback Basic electrical skills Strong verbal and written skills Demonstrated leadership skills Problem solving skills Organizational skills
Abilities:
Ability to troubleshoot small equipment, or small equipment control problems to quickly focus on source of problem and correct it in an efficient manner Ability to read sketches, blueprints, catalogs, maintenance manuals, work orders, etc Ability to use various hand tools Ability to develop team members through guidance and support, fostering professional growth for the team
Education and Experience:
Required:
HS diploma or GED equivalent At least 5 years of experience in facilities/construction/maintenance PAT testing completion Valid PA driver's license
Preferred:
YTI Electrical Technologies Diploma, HACC Electrical Technologies, Career Associate or Certificate 7 + years of experience in facilities/construction/maintenance Previous experience leading people
Working Conditions:
Consists primarily of plant floor and office atmospheres. Manufacturing plant environment may be dirty, dusty, and hotter/colder than office settings. Exterior site and facility property maintenance. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Used (company allowance provided): Eye and hearing protection is required Safety toe shoes (steel/composite) on the production floor.
