Job Description

Job Overview / Scheduled Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM. Mandatory overtime may be required based on production needs. All candidates must pass a drug test. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated 2nd Shift Maintenance Mechanic Lead to oversee and execute maintenance operations within a manufacturing facility. This leadership role requires a proactive approach to maintaining and improving equipment reliability, ensuring safety standards, and leading a team of maintenance technicians. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, hydraulics, welding, and mechanical troubleshooting. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to operational excellence by implementing preventative maintenance strategies, managing complex repairs, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the maintenance team during the second shift, ensuring timely completion of scheduled and emergency repairs. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills. Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC systems, scissor lifts, and other machinery. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track work orders, inventory, and maintenance history. Conduct repairs involving welding (including <
LOCATION
> welding techniques), low voltage electrical systems, high voltage components, and industrial electrician tasks. Operate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters to ensure accurate diagnostics. Manage field service activities for equipment installation or repair outside the plant as needed. Maintain compliance with safety standards related to high voltage systems, HVAC/R systems, and industrial mechanics. Support technical sales efforts by providing expert insights on equipment capabilities and maintenance solutions. Assist in training team members on the use of schematics, analysis tools, and safety procedures to foster a culture of continuous improvement. Skills Extensive experience working within manufacturing facilities with a strong understanding of industrial mechanics and maintenance practices. Proficiency in troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and control systems. Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and inventory control. Knowledge of hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, welding techniques ( welding preferred), and precision measuring instruments. Electrical experience including low voltage systems, high voltage safety protocols, ammeter use, and industrial electrician skills. Ability to read technical schematics accurately and interpret complex mechanical or electrical diagrams. Strong analysis skills for diagnosing issues quickly and implementing effective solutions. Experience with field service operations involving customer service orientation. Background in industrial electrician work or military technical training is advantageous. Excellent communication skills in English with the ability to lead teams effectively.
