With a dedication to top-quality resident care and a strong commitment to our staff, this is the team to join! The ideal Maintenance Director will be responsible for: Overseeing the daily operations of the Maintenance Department to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local, and Life Safety Code regulations, including CMS, Department of Health, and fire safety requirements. Managing preventative maintenance programs for building systems, equipment, grounds, and resident care areas. Coordinating and completing repairs, work orders, inspections, and facility improvement projects in a timely manner. Maintaining emergency preparedness systems, including generators, fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, elevators, and other life safety equipment. Preparing for and participating in annual Department of Health, CMS, and Life Safety surveys. Supervising maintenance staff and outside contractors as needed. Maintaining required documentation, testing logs, inspection records, and regulatory compliance reports.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a healthcare, long-term care, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing facility setting. Experience in a skilled nursing facility strongly preferred. Knowledge of building systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general facility maintenance. Working knowledge of Life Safety Code requirements, emergency preparedness standards, and healthcare regulatory compliance. Prior experience managing generators, fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, and vendor relationships preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
