Job Description
About the Role We're looking for a skilled and motivated Maintenance Manager to lead all maintenance operations at a garden-style apartment community in Plymouth Meeting, PA currently undergoing a major renovation and modernization effort. This is a key leadership opportunity for someone ready to build a team, drive quality, and make a visible impact. The right candidate brings strong technical ability, a hands-on approach, and experience managing both day-to-day operations and larger capital improvement projects. Responsibilities Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing maintenance and grounds team Oversee daily operations including service requests, preventative maintenance, and unit turns Coordinate renovation and capital improvement projects with contractors and vendors Schedule and inspect work to ensure consistent quality across all maintenance and construction activity Perform and oversee repairs to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance systems Manage the maintenance budget, supply inventory, and vendor purchasing Ensure compliance with applicable safety codes, regulations, and company policies Collaborate with property management to maintain curb appeal and a high standard of resident satisfaction Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed Qualifications At least 5 years of maintenance experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or management role within multifamily housing or a comparable environment Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repair Experience managing or coordinating large-scale renovation or capital improvement projects is strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to build, train, and lead a maintenance team EPA Universal and HVAC certifications preferred CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification is a plus Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
