Senior Maintenance Supervisor. This leadership role supports all maintenance, facilities, equipment, and fleet operations across multiple business units. This position will work alongside the Corporate Maintenance Manager, who will remain actively involved on a reduced schedule. We are seeking a self-directed problem-solver who can lead by example, diagnose and repair equipment issues, manage vendors, oversee preventive maintenance, and help build structure within the department. A TRUE 'jack of all trades," this individual should possess a strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and operational systems, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates well, and can balance daily hands-on responsibilities with long-term operational goals across multiple locations. This highly capable, self-directed problem solver must be able to work both strategically and tactically- diagnosing issues, performing repairs, managing vendors, and helping build systems and structure within the department. Key Objectives Support day-to-day maintenance operations across all facilities and divisions Learn and absorb institutional knowledge from the Corporate Maintenance Manager Ensure continuity of operations through structured transition planning Build and implement preventative maintenance systems and documentation Improve efficiency, safety, and asset reliability across the organization Core Responsibilities 1. Equipment & Machinery Management Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production, shop, and facility equipment Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and operational issues Coordinate major repairs and specialized service providers Develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules Track equipment condition, usage, and lifecycle planning 2. Facilities Management Oversee maintenance of buildings, grounds, and infrastructure Manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems Ensure facilities are safe, clean, and fully operational Coordinate repairs, upgrades, and capital improvement projects 3. Fleet & Vehicle Oversight Manage maintenance and repair of company vehicles and equipment Track inspections, registrations, and compliance requirements Coordinate service schedules and vendor relationships Assist with equipment and vehicle replacement planning 4. Operational & Shop Support Support production teams with equipment readiness and uptime Assist with shop layout improvements and workflow efficiency Partner with operations and production leadership to reduce downtime 5. Vendor & Contractor Management Source, evaluate, and manage external vendors and contractors Negotiate pricing and ensure quality of work Coordinate scheduling and oversee project execution 6. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with OSHA and workplace safety standards Identify and proactively address safety risks Maintain documentation for inspections and regulatory requirements 7. Documentation & Process Development Document maintenance procedures, repairs, and recurring tasks Capture institutional knowledge through SOPs and tools (e.g., Scribe) Develop systems for tracking maintenance, assets, and work orders 8. Team Support & Leadership Serve as a key resource for maintenance-related problem-solving Support hiring, training, and development of maintenance personnel Provide leadership presence across multiple facilities and departments 9. Transition & Knowledge Transfer Work closely with the Corporate Maintenance Manager to learn systems, vendors, and processes Participate in structured knowledge transfer and training sessions Gradually assumed increased responsibility for maintenance operations 10. Qualifications Required 7-15+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or operations management Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Hands-on experience with tools, equipment, diagnostics, and repairs Experience supporting multiple facilities or operational environments Excellent verbal and written communication skills Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Ability to collaborate with vendors and contractors to support maintenance, repairs, and operational needs Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Tow motor/forklift and industrial equipment operating/loading experience Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, hands-on environment Clean and valid driver's license 11. Preferred Experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments Prior leadership or supervisory experience Experience with fleet or heavy equipment maintenance OSHA or safety-related training/certifications Forklift Certification/Trainer (a plus), or able to obtain upon hire 12.
