  • Full-time About The Firm DBC Real Estate Management, LLC is a property management firm that acquires, owns and operates multifamily apartment complexes.
At DBC, we aspire to Deliver Best in Class property management. Our company has approximately one hundred employees across 25+ sites in four states. The individual who takes this role must have the ability to manage ongoing capital improvements at multiple projects simultaneously.
Hours of operation:
8:00 a.m.
  • 5:00 p.
m., 40 hours a week. This is not a remote position and will require travel to sites at times. Responsibilities Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Lead all aspects of project redevelopment and improvement, from diagnosis to pre-construction readiness. Manage federal, state, and local project permitting and regulatory approvals. Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Oversee competitive bid structure for remodels and additions & improvements. Develop and maintain overall project schedules and budgets, ensuring timely progress. Evaluate and analyze trends in projects to evaluate opportunities with specific contractors, geographical markets, or design to impact the overall performance in cost, quality, schedule, or safety. Leverage market and project level data to improve performance of portfolio. Collaborate with internal teams (asset management, operations, finance, & accounting) to ensure alignment of project needs. Prepare and monitor property maintenance and capital improvement budgets Coordinate with property teams, vendors, and contractors to keep site work on track. Support the finance team with project requirements for lenders, investors, and project financing partners. Implement better tracking systems and tools for submissions and milestones Manage, screen, and hire maintenance team members Build relationships with vendors, contractors, local officials, and our maintenance team. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred. Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of Construction/Development experience required.
  • Experience in renovation or restoration projects.
  • Strong understanding of project finance, permitting, and pre-construction processes.
  • Proven negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills as well as attention to detail required.
