We're seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily maintenance operations and lead a team in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable performance of all plant equipment on 3rd shift. This role supports a heavy industrial environment and requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to preventive maintenance and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Direct and schedule maintenance technicians to complete preventative and corrective work on production equipment and facility systems. Provide in-the-field support for diagnosing and resolving mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues. Coordinate equipment installations, repairs, and upgrades to reduce downtime and support production goals. Drive root cause investigations for recurring issues and apply effective long-term solutions. Ensure safety compliance across all maintenance activities, including Lockout/Tagout and confined space protocols. Maintain detailed and accurate records in the CMMS, including work orders, equipment history, and parts usage. Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Safety, and Engineering teams to support projects and process improvements. Manage inventory levels of critical spare parts and maintenance supplies. Train and develop team members to improve technical skillsets and reinforce safety and performance standards. Assist with planning and managing the maintenance budget for parts, tools, and capital investments. Provide occasional on-call support for urgent maintenance issues outside of regular hours.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Technology). At least 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, including 3+ years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, welding, furnaces, and plant utilities. Familiarity with electrical troubleshooting; PLC experience is a plus. Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation. Proficient in using a CMMS and preventive maintenance tools. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Committed to maintaining a culture of safety, reliability, and accountability. Willingness to work flexible hours to support 24/7 operations.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to walk, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working in a high-noise, high-temperature industrial setting.
