What You Will Do:
As the Associate Director of Maintenance - CFD you will lead the maintenance and facilities organization for a complex site, ensuring all equipment, systems, and infrastructure operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. You will own maintenance strategy, long‑term asset planning, operational readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives that support both day‑to‑day production and long-range business objectives. This role requires strong leadership, technical depth, and the ability to influence across functions and with senior leadership. Establish and execute long‑term maintenance and reliability strategies to support site objectives and operational continuity. Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability, regulatory compliance, and environmental and safety standards Lead maintenance planning, scheduling, and prioritization for the site to optimize resources and minimize downtime. Direct responses to complex equipment issues, ensuring thorough investigation, root‑cause analysis, and sustainable corrective actions. Manage maintenance resources including staffing, development, budgeting, spare parts, service contracts, and vendor performance. Drive cost‑reduction, energy‑efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on asset lifecycle optimization and operational efficiency. Champion adoption of advanced maintenance technologies, reliability tools, and digital systems to enhance execution and performance. Partner strategically with operations, engineering, EHS, and senior leadership to understand needs, communicate impacts, and ensure the maintenance organization delivers high‑quality service and operational support. Set performance expectations and ensure the maintenance function meets productivity, responsiveness, and reliability goals for the site.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's degree and minimum 12 years of experience in machine tool maintenance, facilities, reliability, or operations, OR a Master's degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of of experience in machine tool maintenance, facilities, reliability, or operations experience Demonstrated success leading multi‑disciplinary teams and delivering high‑quality products Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Qualifications We Prefer:
Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline. Experience in aerospace, defense, or other high‑precision manufacturing environments. Experience using process control/ Six-Sigma and/or Lean manufacturing tools Working knowledge of SAP Proven success in operational leadership, capacity expansion and implementing productivity improvements.

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote. The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
