Job Summary Provide leadership and technical support to both company and contract personnel in the areas of maintenance and repair of Refinery related equipment, while controlling cost and increasing Safety awareness and Reliability Minimum Qualifications 10 Years of Craft Experience OR Associates Degree in related field plus 5 years of craft experience. Instrumentation Theory Electronics Theory (preferred) Vibration Analysis Theory Process analyzer Theory Computer Literate DCS (TDC 3000) Literate SAP Utilization 1st Class Craftsman in Instrumentation and /or Electrical fields or equivalent degree Proficient in the use and understanding of a computerized maintenance management system. (CMMS) Working knowledge of SAP and Maintenance Planning software. Valid Driver's License Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker's Identification Credential (TWIC) Job Duties Oversight of Maintenance and Repair of Instrumentation personnel: Supervise (12) Instrument Technicians and assure that the work being performed is of high quality, meets specifications and is accomplished in an effective and efficient manner. Assist in troubleshooting the more complex technical problems. Maintenance and Repair of instrument equipment: Assure the work being performed is of high quality, meets specifications and is accomplished in an effective and cost efficient manner. Assist in troubleshooting the more complex technical problems.
Planning and Scheduling:
Routine work, Non-Routine work, Turnaround (T/A) and Projects. Has the responsibility of assuring that effective planning and scheduling takes place in all instrument activities.
Preventive Maintenance:
Safety Instrumented Systems, and Critical Instrumentation. The integrity of these systems determines the reliability, efficiency and safety of the refinery. Compliance with the
ISO 9000
quality standard is essential to our petrochemical business where applicable. Maintenance and Repair of Fixed Vibration equipment: Has the responsibility for all Fixed Vibration Monitoring Systems being functional, accurate and reliable. Coordinates repairs, troubleshooting and vendor consultation.
Project work:
Support implementation of new projects, upgrades and modifications. Loop checks, commissioning, documentation and assure that all new, upgraded or modified equipment is functional and working at its optimum before CITGO takes ownership.
Maintenance Procedures:
Develop, update, modify, review and approve instrument related procedures. Assures craft related records and procedures are accurate and personnel are properly trained.
