THE OPPORTUNITY
System4 is one of the country's largest commercial facility management franchise organizations. We support facility maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, general repair, painting, pressure washing, and a full suite of janitorial trades — delivered through a national network of franchise partners and vetted service providers, coordinated on our proprietary ServiceSync platform. We've built the platform, the franchise network, and the national account relationships. We're growing — and we need a Repair & Maintenance Manager who can lead our corporate R&M team in Brecksville, hold high standards across clients and vendors, and develop the team as we expand. This is a real operations leadership role with executive access and accountability. Not a desk-supervisor seat.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Team Leadership
  • 4 Direct Reports Manage, coach, and develop a team of four Account Managers responsible for multiple client portfolios Run weekly team meetings, regular 1:1s, and formal performance reviews Set the standard for client service, vendor accountability, and operational workflow execution Build the depth and capability of the team as System4 grows Account Management
  • Player-Coach Phase Carry a book of strategic R&M accounts, with a focus on national and regional clients Coordinate work order execution, vendor dispatch, QA follow-up, and client escalations Build and maintain relationships with key client contacts, franchise partners, and executive sponsors Demonstrate the standard you expect from the team Service Provider Performance Hold 3rd-party service providers accountable to quality, response time, and pricing standards Manage vendor escalations and performance issues across all trades Renegotiate or recommend replacement when performance or economics warrant it Partner with our internal Service Provider team to ensure network depth matches client needs Operational Accountability Own team performance against client SLAs and contractual obligations Partner with Accounting on billing accuracy, invoicing, and AR escalation Identify and implement process improvements across operational workflows, QA, and client onboarding Report regularly to executive leadership on operational, client, and financial metrics
WHAT YOU BRING
    REQUIRED
    These are required, not preferred. Candidates without this experience will not be considered. 2+ years of direct people management of W-2 employees, with accountability for performance, development, and discipline 2+ years of repair and maintenance or facility services experience — you understand the trades and the work 2+ years of 3rd-party vendor management — holding vendors accountable to performance standards, managing escalations, and renegotiating terms Strong written and verbal communication. You will speak with executives, franchise owners, vendors, and clients in the same day. B2B service mindset. You understand that the client experience and the service provider experience both matter. Judgment to know when to escalate, when to handle it yourself, and when to push it to your team.
