Job Description

Lead Maintenance Mechanic Pay:
$31.00- $41.00 per hour
DOE Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced maintenance professional to lead maintenance operations in an industrial/wastewater environment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical systems, supervising maintenance activities, coordinating contractors, managing CMMS work orders and preventive maintenance, supporting plant operations, and ensuring safe, efficient facility performance. This role also includes team leadership, emergency response support, inspections, reporting, budgeting, inventory control, and employee training.
Qualifications:
Experience with 480V three-phase electrical systems, VFDs, control circuits, pumps, valves, motors, welding, and fabrication 5+ years of maintenance experience with supervisory or project leadership background Knowledge of wastewater systems, PLCs, SCADA systems, and safe work practices Experience with CMMS, planning/scheduling, budgeting, inventory control, and cost tracking Strong troubleshooting, communication, leadership, and team management skills Proficient in Microsoft Office programs Valid driver's license with clean driving record Ability to respond to emergencies, work overtime/on-call as needed, and travel to job sites
Responsibilities:
Maintain and troubleshoot plant equipment, collection systems, and facility operations Perform preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance Diagnose equipment issues and implement repair solutions Coordinate outside contractors and maintenance schedules Maintain CMMS records, reports, inspections, and compliance documentation Supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance staff Support operational efficiency, safety, and emergency response activities
