TMS is currently looking for a Maintenance Manager at our Darlington, SC location.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate daily maintenance operations to ensure safe, reliable equipment availability while promoting a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Supervise and schedule maintenance staff in a 24/7 environment; hire, train, and manage team members and contractors. Perform hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems. Collaborate with Operations to plan and prioritize repairs, including preventive maintenance and capital improvement projects. Develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures; ensure OSHA and company compliance. Manage procurement of tools, supplies, and parts; work with vendors to locate materials and ensure timely repairs. Maintain awareness of operating costs and support budgeting, cost control, and planning for maintenance projects. Maintain accurate records, maintenance logs, and utilize ERP and Microsoft Office systems for documentation, scheduling, and reporting.
Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of maintenance experience; 5 years in a leadership role preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred. Strong electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Welding experience a plus. OSHA 30-hour certification required within the first month. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Must pass drug screening and physical.
