Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Facilities Maintenance Director to lead and oversee all aspects of facilities management within our short-term rehab and long-term faciliy. This pivotal role involves managing maintenance concerns, ensuring the optimal functioning of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems, and implementing proactive strategies to maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise in industrial maintenance, and a passion for driving continuous improvement across facilities operations. Duties Lead the facilities maintenance department, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs utilizing CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track work orders, asset history, and preventive maintenance schedules Manage HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, industrial machinery, and electrical systems to maximize uptime and efficiency Coordinate projects related to facility upgrades, repairs, or new installations with internal teams or external contractors Monitor compliance with safety regulations and industry standards related to electrical work (including high voltage) and industrial maintenance practices Conduct regular inspections using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to diagnose issues accurately and efficiently Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, asset conditions, and safety inspections for audit readiness Collaborate with manufacturing leadership to align facilities operations with production schedules and quality standards Skills Proven management experience leading maintenance or facilities teams in an industrial or manufacturing environment Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in schematics interpretation and troubleshooting electrical circuits Extensive experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, low voltage/high voltage systems, and industrial automation Proficiency with CMMS software for work order management and asset tracking Solid understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical equipment maintenance, and industrial safety protocols Excellent project management skills to oversee upgrades or repairs from planning through execution Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning Hands-on experience using tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic instruments for electrical troubleshooting Knowledge of manufacturing processes combined with strong facilities management expertise ensures optimal operational support Join us as our Facilities Maintenance Director to shape a resilient infrastructure that supports our nursing home enviroment.
