This role offers room for growth and hands-on experience with equipment and environmental maintenance. Thisposition works as a working leader in the field, performing the same core duties as technicians while overseeing the crew's day-to-day operations. The Crew Leader plays a key role in ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. Responsibilities Lead and support crew members in daily pond maintenance activities Oversee day-to-day crew operations in the field Track and maintain accurate crew hours Assist with all aspects of pond maintenance services Mow and string trim slopes and pond basins Selectively remove invasive plants around ponds Operate large brush-cutting equipment and other tools as needed Load and unload heavy equipment and plant materials from trucks Ensure all company-owned equipment and tools are collected and secured at the end of the day Assist other divisions, such as inspection or repair teams, as needed Promote and enforce safe work practices Requirements 1+ year of experience in lake or pond maintenance, landscaping, commercial mowing, turf management, or similar field required (leadership experience preferred) Ability to operate equipment such as large brush mowers and weed eaters Ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds Ability to walk on steep slopes for extended periods Ability to bend and stoop frequently throughout the workday Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including muddy or uneven terrain Comfortable working around environmental factors such as bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns, and other natural hazards Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to guide a team Must follow and enforce all safety practices when handling chemicals and equipment Valid driver's license required
