Job Description

MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor for a company based in Chattanooga, TN. An ideal candidate will be leading a team of Maintenance Technicians in preventive, predictive and corrective activities required to ensure the complete availability of plant equipment and systems. The Maintenance Supervisor is a working lead who prioritizes, coordinates, assigns and confirms the completion of maintenance staff tasks. Pay Rate $30.00 per hour (negotiable based on experience) Schedule and Hours Monday through Friday 6:30am-3:30pm Maintenance Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities Ensures a safe working environment for all employees through identification and elimination of safety risks, and enforcement of all safety policies and procedures, targeting zero accidents Support without hesitation General Plant Safety, Food Safety, Food Defense Initiatives and Good Manufacturing Practices with an understanding that these are our top priorities Ensures production lines and all processes meet safety, quality and operational standards Promotes positive employee relations, through addressing and resolving concerns, and creates a culture of respect, teamwork, collaboration and accountability Responsible for the training, direction and coordination of Maintenance Technicians Effectively troubleshoots, diagnoses and corrects equipment malfunctions for timely restarts based on observation of machinery and applying knowledge from past experience Repairs and maintains machinery and equipment in accordance with diagrams, operational manuals and manufacturing specifications Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with all company safety and established procedures for machine activation and shutdown Interprets specifications, blueprints and job orders to maintenance team as needed Effectively supports the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program with a goal of continually reducing unscheduled downtime Communicates effectively with maintenance technicians, manufacturing and other departments to maintain "team" status as a "Core Value" to maximize operational results Ensures compliance with all Company policies and procedures by all maintenance team members Acts with a Continuous Improvement mindset and serves as a technical expert in continuous improvement activities Completes and submit daily Shift Report of maintenance issues and downtime Maintenance Supervisor Qualifications and Requirements Previous technical leadership experience Experience in use of PLC's, VFD's and HMI's Continuous Improvement, LEAN, TPM, AM, PM experience Proficient in use of a PC with ability and willingness to learn new systems High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to five years of maintenance experience or Associate's Degree or certification in technical field Read, write and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals, Company announcements and policies, and communicate these to others Job Type Full-time, temporary to hire Excellent Customer Benefits upon hire 5 personal days per year 6 paid Holidays per year Vacation Pay prorated based on hire date 401(k) retirement plan Medical, dental, and vision insurance after 90 days.
