This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in facilities maintenance, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting within the wastewater management industry. The role involves hands-on work supporting the upkeep and repair of wastewater infrastructure, ensuring environmental compliance and operational efficiency. Candidates should possess a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and basic technical knowledge. This paid position is ideal for individuals interested in developing a career in utilities or manufacturing sectors. Duties Assist with locating and mapping wastewater lines using specialized equipment and schematics Support maintenance activities including plumbing repairs and mechanical adjustments Operate tools and software to diagnose issues and document work performed Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify potential issues or safety hazards Support staff ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely Contribute to troubleshooting problems Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including general repairs, cleaning, and upkeep of plant areas Follow safety protocols diligently during all maintenance activities and while working around industrial equipment Experience Basic understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and mechanical knowledge preferred Prior experience in facilities maintenance is advantageous but not required Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective teamwork and reporting Supervising experience or leadership skills are beneficial for future growth opportunities Previous customer service experience can be valuable for versatile task handling Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, adapt to new technologies, and follow safety procedures is critical This position provides valuable training and development opportunities within a supportive team environment.
